Women's Basketball Hosts UCSB in Final Scheduled League Games



BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield women's basketball prepares for their final two scheduled games of the regular season on Friday and Saturday. The Roadrunners and the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos face off in the Icardo Center for a pair of 4 PM starts this weekend. 
 
Both games will be broadcast live on ESPN.com/watch or the ESPN app. Watch links can be found on the women's basketball schedule page.
 
CSUB is coming off a series sweep over UC San Diego. The Roadrunners are currently tied with UC Irvine for second most conference wins (7). Long Beach State still has the most conference wins at 10 but was swept by UC Davis, the only team still without a conference loss, last weekend. UC Santa Barbara has three wins on the year, all conference contests. The Gauchos were riding a six-game losing streak before they earned a series sweep over Cal State Fullerton on 1/1-2. UCSB lost its next three league series then split with Hawai'i last weekend.

Series vs UC Santa Barbara
 
This will be the eleventh and twelfth time the Roadrunners and Gauchos have played one another. UCSB leads the all-time series, 6-4. In the Icardo Center, the `Runners have won one more than UC Santa Barbara.
 
In their last meeting, Bakersfield secured a four-point, 66-62, non-conference win on 12/14/19. Three Roadrunners finished in double figures, behind Jayden Eggleston (14), Andie Easley (11) and Miracle Saxon (10). 
 
This weekend CSUB and the Gauchos square off vying for each team's best positioning in Vegas next month.
