BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Coming off a momentum-building victory against Colorado College on Monday night, the CSU Bakersfield men's basketball team has a few days to focus on their next game. The Roadrunners are now preparing for a tough road challenge against a battle-tested Boise State. CSUB will head north for the squad's Black Friday clash with the Broncos.

"Boise State's players are big and their guards are really good," said Rod Barnes, Head Coach of the `Runners. "This is a game we expected to be tough and that's okay. We'll find out a little bit more about ourselves. We'll grow from this game and get better. It's a marathon and we're probably hitting a second hill now. It's always good to come off a win and play the next one."

The `Runners are now 2-2 on the season after posting a dominant victory over Colorado College. CSUB sprinted ahead with a 55-point first half and used defensive pressure throughout to earn a 99-54 victory at home.

Boise State (3-2) is coming home after a strong showing at the Shriners Children's Charleston Classic. The Broncos fell in a close game to No. 22 St. Bonaventure to open the tournament, but Boise State rebounded with back-to-back wins. After handing Temple an 82-62 loss, the Broncos defeated Ole Miss 60-50 to round out the tourney with a winning record.

CSUB and Boise State will be meeting for the fifth time in the all-time series, but Friday's game will be the first meeting between the two teams since Barnes took over in Bakersfield (2011-12). The `Runners will be looking for their first victory over the Broncos as Boise State won all four prior meetings.
