BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - CSU Bakersfield women's basketball will head to Northern California beginning a three-game road stretch at University of the Pacific on Wednesday before wrapping up the week on Saturday at No. 15 Oregon State.
Wednesday marks 627 days since the women have played a road game in front of fans.
Bakersfield and Pacific have met seven times altogether, five under Head Coach Greg McCall. The Roadrunners broke a four-game series streak in 2019-20 defeating Pacific 80-70 to inch closer to tying the all-time series now 4-3.
The Tigers have split a pair of home games early on this season with a win over William Jessep on Veteran's Day and a loss to Big West Conference adversary UC Riverside last Saturday.
CSUB and the Beavers have clashed six times since McCall took control of the program in 2011-12 and nine times overall. The Roadrunners bring back six of 11 players from the last meeting in Corvallis, Oregon two seasons ago.
Oregon State is unbeaten to start the week coming off an 82-52 win over LMU last Friday in the Beavers season opener. OSU had four players finish in double figures against the Lions behind freshman guard Talia von Oelhoffen's 19 points. The Beavers face California Baptist ahead of the Roadrunners on Wednesday.
The Roadrunners officially tipped off the season on College Basketball Opening Day last Tuesday with an 111-19 win over Bethesda (CA) - the program's largest margin of victory. Redshirt junior Jayden Eggleston led a group of five double figure scorers with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Freshmen Kayla Morris (14 pts, 10 reb) and Hennie van Schaik (13 pts, 14 reb) each had a double-double to start their college careers. CSUB will not face another non-Division I team this season.
