Roadrunners Close Road Stint At Cal Poly, UCSB

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield women's soccer is set for a pair of road matches in week three of Big West action. The Roadrunners will head to San Luis Obispo on Thursday for a matchup with Cal Poly and close out the week at UC Santa Barbara on Sunday.

Cal Poly leads the all-time series 7-1. The last time CSUB defeated the Mustangs was in 2009 at the Main Soccer Field in a 2-1 come from behind win. CP is tied second in conference standings with a 3-1 league record.

UC Santa Barbara is another Top 4 team in Big West standings as the Gauchos have earned seven conference points on a 2-1-1 record, good enough to tie fourth with UC San Diego who CSUB drew 1-1 with last Thursday.

Sophomore midfielder Chelsee Duran is the Roadrunners most recent goal scorer after a magnificent header off a set piece rebound at UCSD last week. She joins Jamie Ingrassia, who leads the team in goals with two, Darian Tatum, and Angelica Hurtado.

Duran and sophomore midfielder Dome Rodriguez continue their starters streak tallying their 31 and 11 straight starts for CSUB.

CSUB returns to the Main Soccer Field following the matchup at UCSB for a slew of home contests before the final weekend of Big West regular season matches.
