CSUB Preparing for Blue-Gold Scrimmage Presented by Bakersfield Hyundai

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The 2021-22 basketball season is right around the corner as the CSU Bakersfield's men's and women's basketball teams ready themselves for another year in the Big West Conference. On Thursday, Oct. 28, Roadrunner fans are welcomed back to the Icardo Center for the annual Blue-Gold Scrimmage, presented by Bakersfield Hyundai, set to begin at 7 p.m.

As a reminder, CSUB Athletics has COVID-19 safety protocols in place to help protect fans, student-athletes, coaches, and staff while inside the Icardo Center. Following recommended guidelines, fans will be required to wear masks at all times during the Blue-Gold Scrimmage and food and beverage will need to be enjoyed outside.

The `Runner men's and women's basketball teams are excited to introduce their 2021-22 rosters with an evening filled with dazzling dunks, sharpshooting, high-caliber basketball action, and a night of pure entertainment for fans!

Back once again as a generous sponsor of the Blue-Gold Scrimmage, Bakersfield Hyundai will be offering two lucky fans an opportunity to win a brand new car! A tough golf challenge awaits those fans and one big winner could have a shiny Hyundai Kona to park in their garage. The contestants will be randomly selected and given the opportunity to win the grand prize. Eligible contestants must be present to win.

Throughout the night, the CSUB Spirit Squad will be on site to pump fans up while the one and only Rowdy the Roadrunner will be there to entertain. Fans could even see themselves on the massive, over-the-court video board; keep your eyes up there as you might catch yourself on the FlexCam or DanceCam.

Come on out to the Icardo Center Thursday night, Oct. 28. Admission is free for all fans and the doors will open at 6:50 p.m. for the public with our event kicking off shortly after the hour. CSUB students should arrive early to receive a free hot dog and drink just outside the Icardo Center on the Hall Family Plaza starting at 6 p.m.

Current season ticket holders are encouraged to arrive as early as 6 p.m. for ticket pickup and early entrance. For more information on CSUB Basketball season tickets, visit GoRunners.com/tickets or call 661-654-BLUE today.
