Four Game Home Stand Opens With Cal State Fullerton, LBSU

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield women's soccer takes on another two teams Top 4 in Big West standings in week four of matches but from the comforts of home. The Roadrunners open a four-match stretch this Thursday against Cal State Fullerton and close the week on Sunday with Long Beach State.

Freshman striker Jamie Ingrassia continues to lead the team in goals, points, and shots on goal. Sophomore midfielder Chelsee Duran netted the Roadrunners first conference goal in 1-1 draw at UCSD.

Duran and sophomore midfielder Dome Rodriguez are currently riding a 33 and 13 game starters streak for CSUB.

CSUB and the Titans are tied 1-1-1 in the all-time series, each tallying a win on their home fields and a draw at Titan Stadium. In the first and last matchup at the Main Soccer Field in 2008 Bakersfield earned a 2-1 come from behind win over Fullerton.

Long Beach State ranks third in league standings with 10 conference points on a 3-1-1 record, but just one point ahead of Cal State Fullerton, UC Irvine, and UC Davis. The Beach is at UCD on Thursday before coming to Bakersfield on Sunday.

Bakersfield is at the Main Soccer Field again next week with conference games against UC Irvine (10/21) and Hawai'i (10/24).

CSUB Athletics is excited to welcome fans back to the Main Soccer Field for Roadrunner home events this season. At this time fans are required to wear a face mask unless in designated areas for food and drink consumption.
