CSUB Set For UC Riverside Home Series

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – On the back of a conference series sweep over Hawai'i and double figure scoring from three different Roadrunners, CSU Bakersfield women's basketball closes a four-game home stand on Friday and Saturday with the UC Riverside Highlanders.

Both contests are set for a 4 PM start on espn.com/watch or on the ESPN app.

Bakersfield is led by sophomore point guard Lexus Green who is averaging 12.4 points per game and 4.7 assists per contest. Green is joined in double-digit scoring by redshirt junior Jayden Eggleston's 10.1 ppg.

CSUB and UCR have both have had their fair share of cancellations this year but have played the same number of games this season at eight. The Highlanders are coming off a non-conference win over USC.

Series vs. UC Riverside

This will be the fifteenth and sixteenth all-time meeting between the two teams. UC Riverside leads the series, 11-3. Two of the three program wins over UCR have been under current head coach Greg McCall.

CSUB trails in the series at home down 3-4 against the Highlanders in the Icardo Center. In their last meeting over a year ago, Bakersfield suffered a two-point loss at UC Riverside on 12/31/19.
