`Runners Host Kansas City, Chicago State

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - On the back of an undefeated start to Western Athletic Conference play from the road, the CSU Bakersfield women's basketball team is preparing to return home and defend the Icardo Center where the Roadrunners boast an eight-game win streak. CSUB welcomes Kansas City (1/16) and Chicago State (1/18) this weekend.

Bakersfield (10-5, 2-0 WAC) and Kansas City (10-8, 3-1 WAC) will meet for the fourteenth time in the all-time series.

CSUB and Chicago State (0-17, 0-4 WAC) will meet for the eighteenth time in the all-time series.

The Roos posted a 7-7 non-conference record before opening league with wins over Seattle U, UTRGV and NM State. KC's only conference loss was at unbeaten Utah Valley (6-9, 3-0 WAC).

Bakersfield and Kansas City had one common opponent during their non-conference schedules. Dabbling among the West Coast Conference, the Roadrunners earned a victory over University of the Pacific while the Roos dropped the contest early in their season.

The Cougars and the `Runners shared a common non-conference opponent in UC Santa Barbara. CSU suffered a thirty-one-point loss to the Gauchos while Bakersfield secured a four-point-win over UCSB the last time the women were at home (12/14).

Tipoff on Thursday is scheduled for 7 p.m. while Saturday is slated for a 2 p.m. start. Fans can watch both games on ESPN or follow the live stats. Viewers links are available on the women's basketball schedule page, here.
