CSUB Welcomes GCU For Series Finale

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield's women's basketball team opens with the first of three-straight home games this weekend when the Roadrunners welcome Grand Canyon University for the final regular season series contest with the Antelopes on Saturday afternoon.

GCU dropped four consecutive games last month starting with a double-digit loss from Bakersfield at home, followed by two losses on the road at URTGV and NM State before splitting with Chicago State and California Baptist at home last week.

The first time CSUB and Grand Canyon met was nineteen seasons ago when the Roadrunners opened the all-time series with two California Collegiate Athletic Association wins. Since then the Lopes have tallied just three wins in twenty-four matchups.

Bakersfield is one game behind a three-way tie for third and a win this weekend – depending on how the league shakes up – the Roadrunners could end up in a two-way tie for fourth heading into the final week of regular season action.

FAN ENGAGEMENT
Saturday afternoon will feature Vegas Night. The first 100 in attendance will receive a free themed t-shirt that fans are encouraged to wear at the Western Athletic Conference tournament in Vegas.
