CSUB Ends 2019 at #3 Oregon State, UC Riverside

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield's women's basketball team is back on the floor following fourteen days off from competition. Bakersfield leaves a perfect 8-0 record at home in search of its first win on the road. CSUB closes its non-conference tilt with third-ranked Oregon State Sunday, then UC Riverside on Tuesday.

The matchup on Sunday against the Beavers is set for Noon while the game on New Year's Eve against the Highlanders is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.

The `Runners are coming off a six-game win streak after a four-point win over UC Santa Barbara (12/14). CSUB is also unbeaten against California teams to start 2019-20, including notable wins over San Jose State, Pacific and UC Santa Barbara.

A win over UC Riverside on Tuesday would give the Roadrunners an unbeaten slate against California schools (7-0) and Big West Conference teams (2-0).

The first and last time CSUB defeated the Beavers was a three-point victory at home during the 2009-10 season. Oregon State (11-0) has an unblemished record to start the 2019-20 season, sits third on the Top 25 list and is projected to take one of the four first-place spots in the NCAA Tournament.

OSU and the `Runners shared a common opponent this season in University of the Pacific. The Beavers won by a twelve-point margin while the Roadrunners took a ten-point win over the Tigers.

Fans can listen, watch or follow the game on Sunday and watch or follow the contest on New Year's Eve. Links are available on the women's basketball schedule page.
