DAYTON, Ohio – CSU Bakersfield's women's basketball team was two possessions away from a victory on Tuesday night but Wright State would escape with a 65-60 win over the Roadrunners.
Ashley Austin had a team-high 19 points, including the `Runners last field goal that tied the game at 60-60 in the fourth with under a minute and a half to play.
Jayden Eggleston and
Dalis Jones finished in double figures with fourteen and ten, respectively. Eggleston added a team-best nine rebounds.
The contest was a game of possessions and runs down to the very last whistle. The first and second quarters wound up being the difference as both teams matched points scored in the third and fourth periods.
CSUB returns home for a six-game home stand beginning next Tuesday, Nov. 26 with North Texas.
