2019 Home Finale Highlights Senior Night

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield's women's soccer 2019 home slate comes to a close this weekend, as the Roadrunners host the Chicago State Cougars on Saturday at 7 p.m. for Senior Night, honoring graduating seniors Fran DelaCruz-Cabral, Gianna Bly, Kinsey Saiz, Anesa Sasivarevic, Aryana Harvey and Sophie Freeman.

Fran DelaCruz-Cabral and Gianna Bly were a part of the first signing class head coach Sebastian Vecchio brought to Bakersfield in 2018.

Kinsey Saiz is a four-year letterwinner. When asked about this group of seniors' contribution to the program, Vecchio said, " I am extremely excited to celebrate this senior class. They have been through a lot of ups and downs, including a change in leadership during their time here at CSUB and they never gave anything less that 100% to this program!"

Anesa Sasivarevic is a four-year letterwinner. Sasivarevic helped reset CSUB's Division I individual season shutouts record (5) in her rookie season. She battled injury the following year but returned in 2018, helped match the individual season shutouts record she helped reset in 2016 and tallied her first career assist.

Aryana Harvey transferred to CSUB three seasons ago and has been consistent for the Roadrunners. She matched her scoring totals in 2017 and 2018 with three goals and three assists but found more success on the pitch this season as lead facilitator. She is one point shy of nine points with six assists and one goal and needs one successful cross to be first in individual season assists at the Division I level and 10th all-time.

Sophie Freeman is a four-year letterwinner with an impressive rap sheet. Freeman has started in all but three matches in her career. She opened her collegiate career with six goals and four assists, then scored two goals and recorded two assists in her sophomore year before a cold offensive surge in 2018. She has bounced back in her senior campaign with three goals and one assist on the year, one game-winner and one successful penalty strike. Freeman is one of three athletes to start every contest in 2019.

Fans, family and friends are encouraged to arrive twenty minutes early to help CSU Bakersfield's women's soccer team honor their graduating seniors Fran DelaCruz-Cabral, Gianna Bly, Kinsey Saiz, Anesa Sasivarevic, Aryana Harvey and Sophie Freeman. The ceremony will begin at 6:40 p.m. at center midfield.
