CSUB Basketball Ready for Blue-Gold Scrimmage Oct. 22

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The 2019-20 basketball season is just about two weeks away and CSU Bakersfield's men's and women's basketball teams are busily preparing for the year ahead. Next Tuesday, Oct. 22, Roadrunner fans are invited to pack up the Icardo Center for the annual Blue-Gold Scrimmage presented by Bakersfield Hyundai, set to begin at 7 p.m.

The men's and women's basketball teams are excited to introduce their 2019-20 rosters with an evening filled with high-flying dunking, sharpshooting, top-tier basketball action, and prizes for fans! We will also be handing out the fifth-annual Rowdy Bobblehead to members of the Roadrunner Scholarship Fund's 110% Club! Throughout the night, the CSUB Spirit Squad will be on site to pump fans up while the one and only Rowdy the Roadrunner will be there to entertain. We will also be previewing our 2019-20 hype videos on the massive, over-the-court video board; key your eyes up there as you might just catch yourself on the FlexCam or DanceCam.

One lucky fan won himself a brand new Hyundai Kona last year with a successful half-court shot and this year's scrimmage will feature a similar opportunity. `Runner fans will have a chance to win a new car, courtesy of Bakersfield Hyundai, if they can complete a tough golf challenge in front of the entire crowd. The contestant will be randomly selected and might be able to drive the grand prize home. Eligible contestants must be present to win.

Come on out to the Icardo Center Tuesday night, Oct. 22. Admission is free and the doors will open at 6:50 p.m. for the public with our event kicking off shortly after the hour. Current season ticket holders are encouraged to arrive as early as 6 p.m. for ticket pickup and early entrance.
