Koch Named First Team All-Alaska League

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield senior catcher Ryan Koch was named to the 2018 All-Alaska Baseball League First Team as both a catcher and designated hitter. 

Playing for the Peninsula Oilers, Koch is tied for the league lead with seven home runs and ranks third in the league with 30 RBI.  Koch is batting .265 for the summer with a .500 slugging percentage.  He was also named to the league's All-Star team and won the league's home run derby on July 15 with 11 total homers.   

Koch led the Oilers to a third-place finish in the regular season and has Peninsula in the ABL playoffs.  The third-seeded Oilers will play the No. 2 seed Anchorage Bucs on Wednesday night.
