Track & Field Closes Out Regular Season In Clovis

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield's outdoor track and field teams close out the regular season at the Bulldog Invitational in Clovis, Calif. this weekend.

Falon Wilson continues to highlight the women's outdoor lineup this spring. The 5-foot-5 sophomore has totaled a team-high 11 top five finishes and is on the program's all-time depth chart in three events. Wilson will compete in the 100m dash and 100m hurdles this weekend.

Mariah LeSure will run in the 100m and 200m events.

Julianne Finch, pole vault specialist, has earned six top five finishes this year and enters the week fourth in league standings. Finch ranks first all-time in program history and has broken her own record twice this season. She will look to improve and reset her best mark for the third time this weekend.

Angel Valdez, Alejandra Frausto and Camille Campos will represent the Roadrunners in the 3000m on Saturday, while Ariana Mariscal will round out the distance runners in the 800m race.

Jazmyne Bartee holds a season-best mark of 5-05 in the high jump and ranks third in conference, just two inches from a three-way tie for first. Bartee, Hannah Walker, Susannah Vera and Antonia Beason will jump for the `Runners this weekend, while Alisha Byrd will focus her energy on the triple jump this week.

Corbin Chronister has put together an impressive freshman campaign. He has a team-high six individual first-place victories and a total of 13 top five finishes. Chronister will compete in the hammer throw, discus and shot put this weekend, while throwing partner David Sellens III will join him in the hammer throw and discus.

Tristan Watson will focus on the 110m hurdles on Saturday. The 6-foot-2 senior has shown a great deal of consistency this season, finishing under 15.00 in the event for the past six meets straight. Gabriel Gaeta will extend the distance and look to improve his season-best time in the 400m hurdles this weekend.

Alec Benevides will throw the javelin on Saturday, while Tim Van Horn will round out the `Runners field event competitors in the high jump.

The meet is hosted by Fresno State but will be held at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif.
