CSUB Drops Dual Via Tiebreaker

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The CSU Bakersfield and CSUN women's golf teams were all square at 313 strokes after the top four players on each team were tallied, so the fifth place finishers on each team were taken into consideration.  There, the Matadors edged the Roadrunners 84-83 to take the dual match.

Ariel Lee took home medalist honors at the dual at Bakersfield Country Club.  The senior played even par through the first eight holes and recorded three birdies on the back nine to finish with a two-over par 75.  Deedra Dollesin finished just behind her with a 78 to come in third overall.  Dollesin shot a one-over par 37 on the front nine, before going four-over on the back. 

Tori Peers and Sarah Scheidt both fired 80s as they tied for sixth.  Scheidt bogeyed hole number one, but parred the final eight holes on the front nine.  Peers shot a two-over on the back nine and birdied No.  13.   

Macey Mills and April Chang both shot 84s on the day and Jenni Chun shot an 86. 

The `Runners will take some time off before heading to the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Montana State University in Goodyear, Ariz. on April 9 and 10.
