Box Score LAS CRUCES, NM – The CSU Bakersfield men's basketball team traveled to Western Athletic Conference leader New Mexico State on Thursday night looking to put an end to the Aggies undefeated 7-0 run through the WAC so far this season.  After a tight first ten minutes, it would be all Aggies after that and NMSU would stay undefeated in conference play with a 69-43 victory over CSUB.
 
'Runners freshman Greg Lee would hit a three pointer with 10:40 remaining in the first half to tie the game at 14, but it would be all Aggies from that point on.  NMSU would go on a 17-4 run to end the first half and the Aggies would lead 31-18 at the break.
 
The `Runners had three players with four points to lead CSUB at the half.  Aggies Jemerrio Jones dominated the glass in the first half with 12 rebounds and he also chipped in with six points.
 
The `Runners and the Aggies put on a display defensively in the first 20 minutes.  The `Runners would shoot 7-27 (26%) from the field and the Aggies were 9-31 (29%).  The Aggies would drain all 11 free throw attempts in the first half and the `Runners were 3-4.  NMSU was 2-13 (15%) from behind the arc and the `Runners were 1-11 (9%).
 
NMSU would outscore the `Runners 38-25 in the second half to improve to 21-3 overall and 8-0 in conference play.  CSUB falls to 10-14 on the year and 3-6 in WAC play.
 
The `Runners were led by Damiyne Durham's 11 points and the junior also grabbed three rebounds.  Junior Rickey Holden and freshman Justin Davis would both finish with eight points each.  Aggie Zach Lofton led all scorers with 14 points.  Jones would finish with six points and 20 rebounds for NMSU. 
 
CSUB would shoot 25% (14-55) from the field, while NMSU was 34% (23-67) and the Aggies would outrebound CSUB 53-38.
 
CSUB will be back in action Saturday night when they travel to UTRGV with tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m. Central time, 5 p.m. Bakersfield time.
