CSUB Heads To Fresno To Take On Bulldogs

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Fresh off of a three-match tournament sweep this past weekend, the CSU Bakersfield volleyball team will ride momentum into a mid-week matchup against a cross-valley rival. The Roadrunners will head to Fresno, Calif. on Tuesday, Sept. 5, to face the Bulldogs of Fresno State.

The Bulldogs returned to California after a tournament in Portland, Ore. Fresno State went 1-2 last week with a 3-1 win over Alabama State and losses against host Portland as well as Oregon State. The Bulldogs are led by junior Taylor Slover, who averages 4.14 kills per set on the year.

CSUB earned victories in all three matches at South Dakota State's tournament, Sept. 1-2. Redshirt senior Haylee Roberts led the way offensively and was named Tournament MVP for her efforts. Fellow seniors Sydney Haynes and Emily Lopes also earned spots on the All-Tournament team after standout performances in South Dakota.
