SEATTLE, Wash. – CSU Bakersfield's men's soccer team opened up Western Athletic Conference play at Seattle U on Friday night with a 4-0 loss to the Redhawks.
Seattle U took the lead in the 15
th minute on a goal by Sergio Rivas, his third of the season and it was assisted by Nathan Aune. In the 30

Detre Bell made a great save to keep it at a one goal game. Bell made another diving save in the 42
nd minute to keep the game at 1-0 and that is how the first half would end. Seattle U would outshoot CSUB 11-1 in the first half.
Early in the second half, Quinn Fahling scored his first collegiate goal on a beautiful pass from Barry Habib to make the score 2-0 in the 49
th minute. In the 59
th minute, Rivas would score his second of the night and Fahling would add to his point total, this time with an assist, to extend the Seattle U lead to 3-0. The Redhawks would make it 4-0 in the 64
th minute when Orlando Neto would score his first of the season.
The` Runners fall to 2-6 on the season and 0-1 in WAC play, while Seattle U improves to 7-2 on the season, 1-0 in WAC play and 6-1 at home so far this season.
CSUB will look to get their WAC record to .500 when they return home this Sunday, Oct. 1 against Utah Valley with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. at Main Soccer Field.
