BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield's men's soccer team will travel to the Central Coast on Saturday, Sept. 23 for a match with the 2-4 Cal Poly Mustangs. This is the last game of non-conference play and obviously the `Runners will be looking to go into WAC conference play on a positive note.
CSU Bakersfield played two games in Las Vegas, Nev. last weekend in the Johann Memorial Classic. The `Runners fell to Gonzaga on Friday night 4-1 and lost in overtime on Sunday afternoon to St. Francis (PA.) 2-1.
The `Runners head into the game with a 2-4 record and are looking to break a three-game losing streak. Head Coach
Richie Grant's squad knows they will have to play their 'A' game to get out of Cal Poly with a victory. The Mustangs come into the match on a two-game winning streak and both of the victories were shutouts. The Mustangs are led by former United States Men's National Team Head Coach Steve Sampson.

Victor Romero leads the team with three assists.
After traveling to Cal Poly on Saturday, the `Runners will start conference play on Friday, Sept. 29 at Seattle U.
