CSUB To Host Grand Canyon On "Kids Day"

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - CSU Bakersfield women's volleyball team stays victorious as they won their fifth game in a row Tuesday night to Cal State Fullerton making their current record 11-8 overall. Friday's match-up is Kids Day for the Roadrunners and will be against conference opponent Grand Canyon University.
 
On Kids Day, the `Runners will welcome the Antelopes with a current record of 5-11. GCU will come to CSUB's 4-0 and end their 0-4 WAC record by acing their California opponents and end their 6-game losing streak. Currently the Arizona team leads in team services aces per set with 1.49. The team is led by freshman Claire Kovensky 176 kills and sophomore Emma Ahern who leads in digs (265) and assists (165).
 
The `Runners are ready to take on the Lopes understanding that there are still plenty of conference games left and to not give up any sets to inconsistency. With a current undefeated WAC record this year they will continue to stay humble and work hard.
 
CSUB will welcome all kids and `Runner fans for Friday's festivities. First serve is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. in the Icardo Center. Kids eighth grade and under get in for free by showing the graphic located on our social media pages. Fans and family who cannot make the home match, live stats and video will be available at WAC digital network.
