TORONTO, Ontario – Another personal best time was a fitting way for CSU Bakersfield's junior swimmer Dylana Milobar to end her time at the Canadian Olympic Trials. After swimming a personal best in the 100 breaststroke on Thursday, Milobar posted a time of 2:36.34 in the 200-meter breaststroke on Saturday, lowering her previous PR by four seconds.
“We are all so proud of Dylana,” said Chris Hansen, CSUB's Director of Swimming. “She represented CSUB like a champ at one of the fastest meets in the world. She returns to the States and will start training Tuesday for the Canadian Nationals in August.”
Milobar's time, in what was a bonus event, was good enough to qualify the native of Kamloops, B.C. for the Canadian Nationals as well as the US Nationals. The junior will continue to swim with some of the world's fastest as she represents the Roadrunners.
CSU Bakersfield's swimming and diving season is officially complete, but Milobar and the rest of the 'Runners will continue to work hard in the offseason. Hansen and his squads are looking forward to a good summer of training and the new recruits that will join the team this fall.
