AFA, Colo.—Air Force defeated CSU Bakersfield 3-0 in Western Athletic Conference men's soccer action Sunday afternoon.

The Falcons (10-4, 4-1 WAC) got on the board in the 29th minute when John Sims put back a Tucker Bone attempt that went off the CSUB post. Sims scored seven minutes later when his blast went in from just outside the 18 off an AFA corner kick. Air Force struck again in the 50th minute when Austin Dewing capped off a long run with his seventh goal of the season. The Falcons would outshoot the Roadrunners 19-3.

“We need to return to the habits and effort that won us the previous two games,” said CSUB head coach Richie Grant. “Next Friday is a big game for our season.”

The Roadrunners (4-10, 2-4 WAC) return to the Main Soccer Field next Friday night when CSUB hosts UT Rio Grande Valley (3-6-2, 1-2-1 WAC) as part of a doubleheader that features the Roadrunner women's soccer team also hosting UTRGV.  The women's match is set for 5 p.m. with the men's kick scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
