The teams played a scoreless opening frame before Danielle Lopez scored 26 seconds into the second half. Celina Valencia gave the Highlanders a 2-0 advantage with a goal in the 73rd minute. Amanda Apelian increased the lead to three with a goal at 76:04. Tatum Lockett capped off the scoring in the 79th minute for Riverside (4-1-1).
