LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The field student-athletes from the CSU Bakersfield men's and women's track and field teams continue to lead the way for the Roadrunners this season as javelin thrower Courtney Parker (Sr., Bakersfield, Calif., South HS) and Thomas Judge (Sr., Bakersfield, Calif., Garces HS) both recorded third place finishes on Saturday at the Cal State LA Invitational at the Jesse Owens Track.
Parker placed third in the javelin with a throw of 112-11 and Judge placed third in the hammer with a mark of 180-08.
"Courtney and Tom both did very well today, as did the women's 4X100 relay," said CSUB Director of Track and Field Marcia Mansur-Wentworth. "We had many personal bests today and are progressing nicely this season."
Jamara Scott (Fr., Bakersfield, Calif., Golden Valley HS) took fourth in the long jump by leaping 17-02.25. The CSUB women's 4X100 relay team placed third with a time of 49.03.
