BAKERSFIELD, Calif.-In it's short history, CSU Bakersfield baseball fans have witnessed Hardt Field improve every year; now with a new seating project underway for this upcoming season, fans can forever be a part of this historic project with the 'Hardt Field Personalized Seat Program.'

Supporters of CSUB baseball now have the opportunity to purchase the naming rights to any seat in the new grandstand. As part of this package, fans can have their names displayed on the seat of their choice and receive the rights to purchase season tickets in that seat for life. All funds raised by this program will go towards further improvements to the Hardt Field fan experience.

"This is one of the best ways for baseball fans to truly be a part of something special," said Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Relations Ziggy Siegfried. "By putting their names on the seats, fans are enshrining their place in CSUB baseball history and helping support this great stadium project."

There are two levels of donations available for fans wishing to participate. Each seat named in the center three sections facing home plate will be $1500 a seat while the sections facing the first and third base lines will be $1,000 each. All naming donations can be paid in full or paid over a four-year period. Once a personalized seat is purchased, those fans have the first rights to buy season tickets in that seat each season.

Fans can also purchase at upcoming CSUB home events when they see the Hardt Field seating board in the lobby, by calling Associate Athletics Director for Development Karen Langston at 654-6226, or at a special 'Meet the Team' event being held for CSUB baseball on Feb. 7 at Lengthwise in the Marketplace. The Hardt Field seating project includes 750 new chair back seats and grandstand made possible by private donations from the Fritch Family Foundation, Bill and Holly Lazzerini and W.A. Thompson Inc.

Season tickets are also currently on sale for the 2013 season with 32 games scheduled at the recently improved Hardt Field. While purchasing season tickets does not require participation in the personalized seat program, seating assignments will not be issued until naming rights sales close.
