BAKERSFIELD,
Calif., - CSU Bakersfield Athletics will honor
the achievements of their student-athletes Wednesday, June
6th at 7
P.M. with the Inaugural 'ROWDYs' Award Show at the Dore Theatre.
The event is
the first of it's kind for CSUB Athletics,
replacing the former student-athlete awards banquet with this new and improved
'awards show' presentation similar to the ESPYs and Golden Globes.
The evening
features 14 awards covering categories such as
best individual and team performances, most spontaneous moment,? Roadrunner of the
Year, The Flachmann
Award, most resilient, most inspirational, along with individual and team best
academic performances.
The event
will be hosted by Mark Haas, sports director and
KGET TV-17 and will feature video highlights from this past season along with
special guest appearances by Kevin Harvick, Bakersfield Mayor Harvey Hall and
many more.
Those in
attendance, along with CSUB student-athletes, will
also arrive on the 'Gold Carpet' and will be able to have their photo taken awards
show style in front of the Dore Theatre entrance.
Tickets for
the event are $50 and include a pre-show
reception beginning at 6 P.M. in the Albertson's Room, adjacent to Dore Theatre
