WOODLAND,
Calif.--Six CSU Bakersfield women's swimmers have been named MPSF
All-Academic Scholar-Athletes for the 2011-12 season.
Earning the honor for the Roadrunners are Chelsea Ankeny (Sr., 3.98, Ontario, Calif., Riverside CC), Rachel McCall (Sr., Calgary, Alberta, National Sport School), Katrina Thomas (3.67, R-Sr., Bakersfield, Calif., Golden Valley HS), Isabell Nystrom (Sr., Stockholm, Sweden, Limestone College), Jordan Reed (3.54, Jr., Bakersfield, Calif., Liberty HS), and Sara Brady (3.31, Sr., Tehachapi, Calif., Bakersfield College)
The student-athletes were nominated for the award based
on the following criteria:
1. 3.00 or better
cumulative grade point average.
2. Student-athlete must be
at least a sophomore academically.
3. Student-athlete must
have completed one full academic year at the institution prior to the season
for which the award is
being received.
4.
Student-athlete must have competed in fifty percent or more of the
institution's competition in the student-athlete's respective sport.
