Oregon State Defeats CSUB 71-48

CORVALLIS, Ore.--Oregon State used a 21-0 first half run to power past CSU Bakersfield as the Beavers defeated CSUB 71-48 Thursday afternoon.

With the Roadrunners leading 8-6 at the 16:36 mark of the opening frame, Oregon State scored the next 21 points over the following 7+ minutes to break the game open. The Beavers led 41-22 at halftme. Oregon State held CSUB to 29% (19-of-62) shooting for the game and outrebounded the Roadrunners 57-37.

Jamie Weisner led the Beavers with 17 points. Amber Williams (Sr., Fontana, Calif., Etiwanda HS), Brooklynn Hinkens (So., Lake Tapps, Wash., Auburn-Riverside HS), and Cebrina Johnson (R-So., Corona, Calif., Santiago HS) all scored nine points to pace CSUB. Batabe Zempare (Fr., Accra, Ghana, Scottsdale Chapparal HS) grabbed 10 rebounds for the Roadrunners.

CSUB hosts No. 10/11 California next Friday night in the Icardo Center. Tip is set for 7 p.m.
