CSU Bakersfield baseball returns to Hardt Field this weekend
for the final home series of 2011 hosting Cal Poly. With the postseason picture
still unclear, the 'Runners will be looking to win out against the Mustangs
Friday and Saturday night at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.
All three games, CSUB business students will also be
collecting canned food to help the Kern County Food Bank. With the summer
months coming, the demand on the food bank increases with underprivileged students
who received school meals now home for the summer.
Sunday will be a special day as we honor Kern County teachers
with 'Teacher Appreciation Day." Show a teacher ID at the front gate and
receive $4 admission. It's also 'Senior Sundae,' in honor of the 2011 Senior Class;
fans will receive free ice cream sundaes while supplies last. And after the
game, stick around for the third and final set of CSUB baseball trading cards
and have them signed by CSUB players during the postgame autograph session.
The Roadrunners enter the series 30-21 while the Mustangs
come to Bakersfield after defeating Stanford on Tuesday night 3-1 to improve to
27-23 on the season.
This is your last chance to catch the 2011 Roadrunners at
Hardt Field. Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m., Sunday at 1 p.m.
