CSUB Men's Golf Fourth At Lamkin Grip/Cal Poly Challenge

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--The CSUB Men's Golf Team finished fourth at the Lamkin Grip/Cal Poly Challenge Mar. 24-25 at the Cypress Ridge Golf Course.

The Roadrunners shot 602 in the rain-shortened 36-hole event. Cal Poly defeated Sacramento State in a playoff for the team title (both scored 583).

Chase Goodvin (Fr., Bakersfield, Calif., Frontier HS) tied for second in the event. Goodvin (71-71-142) was three shots behind the winner, Sacramento State's Jake Johnson (73-66-139).

Kyle Morrison (Sr. Redondo Beach, Calif., Redondo Union HS) tied for 10th (73-76-149) with one other golfer.

The Roadrunners return to the links Mar. 28-29 at the UCSB Pacific Coast Intercollegiate.
