CSUB Drops A Pair Of Duals To End Wrestling Regular Season

GREELEY, Colo. -CSUB (3-7) lost a pair of duals at Northern Colorado Feb. 11 to end the 2010-11 regular season.

Northern Iowa defeated CSUB 28-10 in the opener. Picking up victories for the Roadrunners were Tyler Iwamura (R-So., San Diego, Calif., Santa Fe Christian HS) at 125, Trevor Hall (Sr., Battle Ground, Wash., Battle Ground HS) at 165 and
Riley Orozco (R-Sr., Fallon, Nev., Churchill County HS) at 197.

In the nightcap, Northern Colorado defeated the Roadrunners 21-19. CSUB trailed 21-6 after the 165 pound match before winning three straight matches to close to 21-16. In the final match at heavyweight, David Morgan (R-Sr., Bakersfield, Calif., Centennial HS) won the bout, defeating Konner Knudtsen, 1-0, but it wasn't enough for the team victory.

Winning for CSUB were Elijah Nacita (R-Sr., 141, Bakersfield HS), Joey Granata (R-Sr., 174, Oceanside, Calif., Fallbrook HS), Troy Goodban (R-Sr., 184, Bellflower HS)

The Roadrunners head to the Pac-10 Tournament Feb. 27 at Oregon State.
