volleyball team broke open a close first set with a big run, held off CSUB in a
tight second set then never trailed in the third en route to a 25-14, 25-22,
25-16 win Saturday evening in Peterson Gym.

junior middle blocker Alysia Baker
(Tri-City Christian HS), who hails from nearby Vista, enjoyed a solid
attacking night, leading both teams with nine kills while posting a solid .353
attack percentage. The rest of the 'Runner offense was stagnant, however,
combining to hit -.051.
Kyley
Sexton and Summer Nash led a balanced Aztec attack with seven kills apiece.
Jessica Peacock chipped in six kills and six blocks for SDSU.
CSUB
returns to action Tuesday for a match at Central Valley rival Fresno Pacific.
