FRESNO, Calif. — Victoria Kreutz won both springboard diving events and Rachel McCall turned in the CSUB women's swim team's fastest mark in the 200 IM so far this season in the Roadrunners' 183-114 loss to Fresno State Saturday.
McCall, who had not competed in the 200 IM yet this season, swam a 2:10.03, a team season-best and nearly six seconds faster than her closest competitor at Saturday's dual. McCall also earned a pair of second-place finishes, swimming a 1:05.78 in the 100 breast and a 54.08 in the 100 free.
In the springboard diving events, Kreutz scored a 243.52 in the one-meter event and 262.05 in the three-meter event, each the top score of the day. Teammate Hannah Yoder scored a season-best 211.35 in the one-meter event to place second.
Stephanie Donnelly placed second in three events, finishing in 59.53 in the 100 back, 2:08.29 in the 200 back and 59.06 in the 100 fly. Additional runner-up finishes by the Roadrunners included Renee Roy in the 1,000 free (11:19.82), Lacey Payne in the 200 fly (2:18.92), Louise Westergren in the 50 free (25.04) and Olivia Ramos in the 500 free (5:28.97).
Brooke Penney had a trio of third place times, including a season best 2:00.07 in the 200 free.
The Roadrunners return to the Hillman Aquatics Center Jan. 23 for a double-dual with the men's squad against UC Davis. Action begins at 1 p.m.
