Los Angeles — The CSUB women's swim team split a pair of dual competitions Saturday, claiming a 172-127 win over NAIA power Cal Baptist and dropping a 166-121 score to host Loyola Marymount.

Stephanie Donnelly, Rachel McCall and Rachel Holm each took first place in an individual event and combined to add four additional top three finishes to lead the Roadrunners.

Donnelly won the 100 back in 1:00.98, while also placing second in the 100 fly in 1:00.17 and third in the 200 back in 2:13.51. McCall took first in the 100 breast in 1:06.69 and also placed third in the 50 free in 24.66 and in 100 free in 53.99. Holm added a first-place finish in the 200 breast.

Leah Felber also had a pair of standout swims, placing third in both the 200 free (2:01.07) and the 500 free (5:20.52). Michelle Kroll closed out the individual events with a third-place, season-best 2:12.96 in the 200 IM.

The Roadrunner 400 free relay team of Brooke Penney, Olivia Ramos, Felber and McCall was second in 3:39.75. Earlier in the day, Donnelly, Holm, Kroll and Penney placed third in the 200 medley in 1:52.21.

“Rachel McCall, Rachel Holm and Stephanie all won events, which was great,” said Head Coach Pat Skehan. “Also, we got an outstanding swim from Michelle in the 200 IM. For how tired we are and without Louis (Westergren who is sidelined with a leg injury), we had a lot of good swims and good times. We kept plugging away and everyone was scoring points.”

The CSUB divers competed against Cal Baptist divers across town at UCLA where Hannah Yoder took first in the one-meter event and Victoria Kreutz took first in the three-meter event.

Following a brief winter holiday break, the Roadrunners return to action Jan. 2 at 11 a.m., hosting San Jose State at the Hillman Aquatics Center.
