SAN JOSE, Calif. ? Tessa Brown posted a personal best time in the 200 yard breaststroke and Victoria Kreutz won both springboard diving events as the CSUB women's swimming and diving team took on San Jose State in a dual meet. The Spartans won the 16-event meet 171-109, their 14th consecutive dual meet victory.
Brown's win in the 200 breast was one of just two Roadrunner first place swimming finishes, but it was a big one as the junior posted a 2:30.23 personal-best mark. She also turned in a solid performance in the 100 breast, placing second in a time of 1:09.95.
Freshman Rachel McCall won the 100 breast in a time of 1:0839. McCall was also impressive in the 50 free, placing second in a time of 25.28.
Kreutz continued her streak of first place dual finishes in the one and three meter diving events, earning a winning score of 278.48 off the one-meter board and 265.35 off the three-meter board.
"Tessa had some good swims and Victoria was solid once again," said CSUB Head Coach Pat Skehan. "(With two duals remaining) we are starting to get ready for the conference championships and starting to fine tune some things. We're not resting yet, but that time is coming quickly."
The 'Runners travel to face UC Davis next Saturday in a double dual with the men's team, then close out the regular season at the Hillman Awuatics Center on Feb. 7 aginst Loyola Marymount.
