he San Diego Toreros handed the CSUB women's soccer team a 3?0 loss Sunday on the Main Soccer Field. The ?Runners (3?5?0) have now hit a three-game slide while San Diego (5?2?0) won its fifth straight.

San Diego was awarded a penalty kick in the 10th minute after a foul was called on a corner kick by the Toreros. Amy Epsten beat CSUB goalkeeper Marina Constantinou to the far left post. Jen Mello collected a rebound in the 25th minute, dribbled to the center of the box and fired a shot past Constantinou to the top left corner. Mello would strike again as she took a pass from Hallie Huston in the 75th minute and found the far post from right of the box.

The ?Runners were outshot, 17?6, and fell behind in corner kicks, 12?3. San Diego was whislted for 13 fouls to CSUB's six. Constantinou finished with four saves while San Diego's Brittany Cameron made two before being replaced by Courtney Parsons.

The ?Runners take to the road next weekend as they face off against Saint Mary's College on Friday and Weber State on Sunday at the UC Irvine Tournament. Game times are scheduled for 5 p.m. and noon, respectively.
