BAKERSFIELD, Calif. ? Rachel McCall won the 50 free and placed second in the 100 breaststroke and Stephanie Donnelly won the 100 backstroke, helping the CSUB women's swim team to put up a valiant battle in a 136-100 dual loss to visiting Seattle University Saturday at the Hillman Aquatics Center.
McCall, a freshman from Calgary, Canada, clocked a 25.35 in the 50 free and a 1:07.73 in the 100 breast, while Donnelly won the 100 back in a time of 1:02.33.
The Roadrunners opened the meet with a 1:54.35 second place finish in the 200 medley relay, just behind the Redhawks' wining time of 1:52.27.
Leah Felber earned a second place finish in the 200 free, while Veronica Campbell was second in the 50 free (25.44) and 100 free (55.78). Victoria Kreutz won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events, racking up 262.45 points and 263.05 points, respectively.
Bakersfield closed out the meet with a 1:44.27 second place finish in the 200 free relay, with anchor Tessa Brown touching the wall just one second behind Seattle's Elizabeth Hanohano.
The ?Runners head south Sunday to face off against UC San Diego at noon in La Jolla. They return to the Hillman Aquatics Center Dec. 6 to host San Diego State at 1 p.m.
