COMING UP: The CSUB wrestling team continues a treacherous road swing this week, beginning with Pac-10 duals at UC Davis on Wednesday and Stanford on Thursday. The Roadrunners then head to San Francisco State for a dual meet with the Gators on Friday, followed by participation in the California Collegiates at SFSU on Saturday.

LAST WEEK: The Roadrunners had a huge weekend up north, sweeping Pac-10 rivals Oregon, Oregon State and Portland State to improve to 5-1 overall and 4-1 in the Pac-10. The three consecutive victories were the first back-to-back (to-back) road wins for CSUB since topping Portland State and Oregon during the 2005 season. Brandon Zoetewey (125), Elijah Nacita (141) and Daniel Atondo (165) all went 3-0 while a trio of ?Runners also upset higher ranked opponents. No. 5 ranked Nacita beat No. 4 Heinrich Barnes (OSU), unranked Ernesto Ancona beat No. 3 Brice Arand (OSU) and No. 9 Trevor Hall beat No. 7 Brady Garner (PSU).

SECOND TO 20: With senior Jeremy Doyle (149) being the first to surpass the 20-win mark, four more ?Runners are within reach of that mark with the busy week ahead. Redshirt freshman Elijah Nacita (141) and true freshman Trevor Hall (157) both enter the week with 19 wins, while junior Daniel Atondo (165) and senior Ryan Bergman (285) both hold 18 victories to date.

PAC-10 RANKINGS: At No. 3, Daniel Atondo (165) holds the highest Pac-10 ranking of all CSUB wrestlers. Jeremy Doyle (149) and Brandon Zoetewey (125) each come in at No. 4 while Thomas Kimbrell (133), Elijah Nacita (141) and Jason Points (174) are each ranked No. 5. With a pair of Pac-10 duals this week, the ?Runners may have the opportunity to take on nine higher-ranked opponents, assuming the top wrestlers compete in each match. That list includes top-ranked Tanner Gardener (125) from Stanford and No. 2 ranked Luke Feist (174) and Zack Geison (184), also both out of Stanford.

PIN FOR A WIN: Through 437 matches, the Roadrunners have earned 66 of their 262 wins by virtue of a pin. That number already surpasses the 2006-07 season total of 61. Leading the way in that statistical category are Elijah Nacita (141), Jeremy Doyle (149), Trevor Hall (157) Daniel Montanez (174) and Riley Orozco (184) who have all totaled five pins. However, the ?Runners fastest pin to date (23 seconds) came by the hands of freshman Justin Durham (133).

400 AND COUNTING: Head Coach T.J. Kerr became the fifth active NCAA coach to reach 400 career wrestling victories Saturday, following a 37-12 win over Portland State. Kerr now holds a 35-plus-year career record of 400-198-7. Now in his 24th season at the helm of the Roadrunner program, Kerr also owns a 218-128-4 record at CSUB.

UP NEXT: CSUB remains on the road for yet another week, traveling to Cal State Fullerton for a Pac-10 match-up Sunday, Feb. 3 at noon. Following the conference dual, the Roadrunners will face off against Menlo College at 1:30 p.m. on the campus of CSUF.
