BAKERSFIELD, Calif. ? Freshman Stephanie Donnelly and sophomore Leah Felber stepped up Saturday to turn in first and second place time, respectively, in CSUB's dual meet with the UC Santa Barbara swim team at the John S. Hillman Aquatics Center. The Gauchos would claim a final 152-77 team win over the Roadrunners.
Donnelly held off a pair of Gauchos to claim a 2:09.55 first-place finish in the 200 yard backstroke. Felber, meanwhile, had her top finish in the 500 yard freestyle, finishing second in a time of 5:19.67. She also clocked a 10:53.81 third-place finish in the 1000 yard freestyle.
Junior Lexie Kelly earned a third place finish in the 200 yard butterfly (2:14.55) and a fourth place finish in the 200 yard individual medley (2:16.45).
In the diving events, junior Victoria Kreutz posted victories in both the one-meter and three-meter dives. She scored a 220.05 on the low board early in the day, then later earned 236.85 points on the three-meter board.
The ?Runners will hit the road until early January, with dual meets against Cal Poly, CSU Northridge and Nevada up first on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. Both meets are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. in San Luis Obispo.
