Sheppard is in his first season as an assistant swimming coach at CSUB.
Prior to CSUB, Sheppard spent two season as the assistant swimming coach at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn. With the Lynx, he was involved in recruiting, strategizing for meets and planning practices both in the pool and on dry land.
After graduating from the University of Arizona with a bachelor's degree in history, Sheppard served as a coach for Tucson Ford Aquatics where he coached ages 6-18+.
As a student-athlete at Arizona, Sheppard was an All-American in the 200-yard backstroke in 2011 and swam at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials. He also swam in the A-finals at the 2011 Summer Nationals in the 200-yard backstroke.
