Justin Liserio enters his second year at Cal State Bakersfield in Fall of 2025. Liserio is the Pitching Coach for the Roadrunner baseball program.
In Liserio's first season with the `Runners, the Cal State Bakersfield baseball team increased its win total from the year prior both in Big West games and overall. Liserio helped develop Ryan King into Bakersfield's Friday night starter as the freshman led all qualified pitchers in ERA on the year.
A rising talent in the collegiate baseball world, Liserio came to Bakersfield after spending the 2023 season at Texas Christian University. A former collegiate pitcher, Liserio was the Assistant Pitching Coach for TCU while also doubling down as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Horned Frogs. TCU went 33-21 during the 2024 season before falling in the late rounds of the Big 12 Tournament.
Liserio’s degree in Exercise Science form Heidelberg University led him to spend three and a half years as a Performance Coach at Tread Athletics before he embarked on his coaching journey. His insight into biomechanics, throwing programs, and injury prevention are crucial assets for the `Runner baseball team.
