Jon Michalik currently serves the Roadrunners as the Senior Associate Athletics Director. He has been a member of the Athletics Department and Executive Staff at California State University, Bakersfield since April 2019.
In his role, Michalik holds the title of Chief Compliance Officer overseeing the departmentâs Athletics Compliance unit. In addition to Compliance, Michalik provides direct oversight of the Sports Medicine and Sports Performance units, leads the departmentâs Name, Image, and Likeness initiatives (NIL), organizes all staff professional development efforts, and provides direct oversight of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Also in his purview, Michalik will lead the departmentâs review and implementation of the NCAA Transformation Committee recommendation and initiatives.

Michalik is the current Sports Administrator for the `Runner Baseball and Womenâs Volleyball teams and has previously served as the Sports Administrator for several other sports programs including Menâs Soccer, Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving, Menâs and Womenâs Track & Field, and Womenâs Cross Country.
Prior to CSUB, Michalik served in various Intercollegiate Athletics and Academic Affairs roles supporting NCAA Division I Athletics at Robert Morris University (2014-2019) and the University of Memphis (2010-2014).
A native of Milan, N.H., Michalik received a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Leisure Management from the University of Memphis in 2012 and a Master of Business Administration from Memphis in 2014.
