Felipe Nogueira joined the Roadrunner coaching staff in February of 2024 and will be in his first season as an Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator in Fall of 2024.
Most recently, Nogueira spent the 2023 season as an assistant coach at Seattle U. He also has head coaching experience after leading the men's volleyball team at his alma mater, Grand View University, for the two seasons prior to his stop in Seattle. In 2022, the GVU Vikings won the NAIA National Championship and tallied a 47-11 record under Nogueira's guidance.
Nogueira's other coaching experience spans time at Arkansas – Fort Smith as well as being the Director of Dowling Catholic Volleyball Club. His resume has drawn attention on a national level, for which Nogueira was named to the AVCA 30 Under 30 list in 2023.
After completing his collegiate career at Grand View, Noguiera served the Vikings as a Graduate Assistant for three seasons. As a student-athlete, the outside hitter helped GVU to a 68-20 record over his final three seasons. The Vikings finished runner-up at the NAIA National Invitational Tournament during his senior season and appeared in the tournament three-straight years.
A native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Nogueira earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Grand View University. He lives in Bakersfield with his wife, Chrissy. The couple have a cute border collie named Luna who loves to play and fetch and go on morning walks.
