Cindy Goodmon retired at the end of 2024 after 40 years of service to California State University, Bakersfield, most recently serving as Deputy Athletics Director. She was also the Athletics Department’s Senior Woman Administrator (SWA).
Serving as the department’s second-in-command, Goodmon provided strategic direction and assisted the Director of Athletics with day-to-day operations. She was the sport administrator for the women’s basketball, baseball, women’s soccer, women’s golf, and track and field programs. Goodmon led the department’s strategic planning initiatives, policy development and implementation, coordination of department meetings, and Title IX monitoring. She oversaw the areas of human resources, business operations, budget, and Roadrunner Sports Properties, while also serving as a liaison to various campus groups, the Big West Conference (BWC), and the NCAA.
A former member of the NCAA Committee for Recruiting and Staffing Issues, Goodmon served on the BWC Council and BWC Business and Finance Committee.
Goodmon is a proud graduate of California State University, Bakersfield where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration and Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration.
