Amanda Valentine enters her second season at Cal State Bakersfield in Fall of 2025, serving the Roadrunner women’s soccer program as an assistant coach.

In her first year with the `Runners, Valentine helped guide CSUB to the 2024 Big West Championship match, marking the program’s first-ever appearance in a Division I conference final. Five `Runners earned All-Conference honors, while seven were recognized with Academic All-Conference accolades.

Valentine came to Bakersfield after two seasons at Fresno Pacific University, where she served as head coach of the women’s soccer program. She led the Sunbirds to new competitive heights while also prioritizing academic success and community engagement.

While pursuing her graduate degree, Valentine served as a graduate assistant coach at Holy Names University. She organized training sessions, developed performance programs, and directed community outreach initiatives to promote soccer at the grassroots level.

A native of California, Valentine began her coaching journey specializing in goalkeepers and she has developed a reputation for her ability to mentor and train players across positions. She holds a master’s degree in Business Management from Holy Names University and a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Ottawa University.
