Biography

2014-15 (R-JUNIOR): Was 0-2 at the Roadrunner Open in first action of season...was 2-2 at the Reno Tournamentof Champions...reached the finals of the Menlo Open and went 3-1 during the tournament...lost 2-1 in triple overtime to San Francisco State’s Sam Alnassiri in first dual start on Jan. 25...finished fourth at the California Collegiate Open with a 4-2 record...went 9-8 overall.

2013-14 (R-SOPHOMORE): Finished second at the Fresno City College U-21 Open...went 6-9 in five tournament appearances.

2012-13 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt at Bakersfield...went 3-6 in open competition, highlighted by a fourth place finish at the San Francisco State U-21 Open.

2011-12 (FRESHMAN): Opened season by going 3-2 at the Roadrunner Open...lost dual appearances against Stanford and Cal Poly...went 0-2 at the Cliff Keen, RTOC, and California Collegiate tournaments.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Lemoore High School...coach was Marco Bothelo...finished fourth at the 2011 CIF State Tournament as a senior...other highlights during Wood’s senior season included a West Yosemite League title, a runner-up showing at the Yosemite Divsional meet and a third place showing at the Central Section Masters...finished second at the Reno Tournament of Champions in 2010-11...was 48-7 as a senior earned a spot on the Sentinel’s All-County wrestling team.

PERSONAL: Born July 9, 1993...son of Steven and Christina Wood...a criminal justice major.
