Biography

2017-18 (SENIOR): Finished the season with an 11-5 record and won his only start against Life Pacific 19-2...led the team with seven victories by technical fall...finished third at the Menlo Open with three of his five victories coming by tech fall...took fifth at the Roadrunner Open...went 2-2 at the Reno Tournament of Champions.  

2017-18 (JUNIOR): Finished the season with a 5-7 record...went 1-2 at 174 pounds and 4-5 at 184...earned three victories by decision and two by tech fall...earned 16-0 tech fall victory over Simpson's Layten Briggs at the Roadrunner Open...finished second at the Cali Collegiate at 184 pounds after winning by tech fall (16-1 over Jack Huber and scoring a 5-3 overtime win over Simon Fraser's Nolan Badovinac. 
 
PRIOR TO CSUB (2014-17): Competed at Ouachita Baptist University and Mt. SAC…coached by Chris Chionuma and David Rivera…California State Runner-up in 2016 for Mt. SAC…earned a spot on the Dean’s List…
 
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2014 graduate of Rim of the World High School.…coach was Scott Craft…also played baseball and football for the Scots.
 
PERSONAL: Born on Oct. 25, 1995...son of Steven and Kristina South…a communications major.
