Biography

2019-20 (R-JUNIOR): Posted a 13-1 record, while primarily wrestling in tournament action at 157 pounds...Went 4-0, including a pin of Stanford's Dawson Sihavong, to claim the championship at the Menlo Open...Defeated Fresno State's Jacob Wright en route to a fourth-place finish at the Roadrunner Open...Took first place at the California Collegiate, outscoring the competition 36-12 in four bouts...Won his lone dual appearance of the season when he knocked off Duke's Eric Carter, 10-5. 

2018-19 (R-SOPHOMORE): Finished the season with a 7-8 record...went 7-6 at 149 pounds and 0-2 at 157...was 1-0 in dual action, defeating Life Pacific's Aaron Mora 17-1...took third at the Menlo Open after going 4-1...pinned Garrett Russell of Umpqua CC at the Reno Tournament of Champions.  

2017-18 (R-FRESHMAN): Finished the season 8-21 at 149 pounds...was 1-14 in dual action and 0-3 in Pac-12 action...won five matches by decision, one by major decision and one by pin...pinned Austin Duvern at the Roadrunner Open for his first victory of the season and finished fifth...went 2-2 at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitation...defeated Utah Valley's Matthew Ontiveros 6-4 for lone dual victory of the season.

2016-17 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt at CSU Bakersfield....went 11-8 in open tournaments...won the 141-pound title at the Menlo Invitational.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2016 graduate of Elk Grove High School...coaches were Patrick Coffing and Ryan Shaw...finished third at the 2016 state tournament at 132 pounds and was named team MVP...qualified for the 2015 state tournament at 132 pounds...earned a spot in the 2014 state tournament at 126 pounds. 

PERSONAL: Born on Apr. 30, 1998...son of Don and Dana Tonge...a business administration major.
