California State University at Bakersfield Athletics

TENNESSEE-CHATTANOOGA: Jeff Baker redshirted one season at Tennessee-Chattanooga before returning to his hometown to compete at Bakersfield.

BAKERSFIELD COLLEGE: Baker is a local product who has simply been successful at every level of wrestling in which he has competed so far…was one of the top wrestlers in the state at the community college level and helped lead Bakersfield College to back-to-back state team titles…placed third in the state as a sophomore in 2004 after a second-place result in 2003…was also a two-time Western State Conference champion…was named a junior college All-American both seasons.

CENTENNIAL HS: Baker was a four-time Southwest Yosemite League champion while wrestling during his prep years at Bakersfield’s Centennial HS…was a two-time qualifier for the CIF State Championships and placed second in the state as a senior…was also a two-time placewinner at the CIF Central Section Championships… placed third at the Reno Tournament of Champions as a senior…was named a high school All-American in 2003.

PERSONAL: Major is physical education and kinesiology at CSUB…parents are Doug and Julie Baker.
